The
New Jersey Attorney General’s Advocacy
Institute was established to enhance the
administration of justice in the State,
and ensure the attorneys representing governmental
entities maintain the highest degree of
professionalism. The Advocacy Institute
offers a broad range of programs to address
the needs of public sector attorneys, including
deputies attorney general, assistant prosecutors,
municipal prosecutors and those who represent
other governmental entities. Moreover, the
Advocacy Institute serves as a clearing
house for Best Practices, and is
responsible for producing handbooks and
practice manuals for use within the Department
of Law & Public Safety. The
Advocacy Institute primarily offers programs
in Trenton and Newark, depending on the
type of program being offered, and facility
availability. The Advocacy Institute is
an accredited New Jersey and Pennsylvania
Continuing Legal Education (“CLE”)
provider. Accordingly, as an added benefit,
attorneys attending Advocacy Institute programs
may earn credits toward their New Jersey,
New York and Pennsylvania CLE requirements,
and toward their New Jersey trial certification
requirements.
